The Zetter Townhouse wedding

11th July 2013

Sarah emailed me as soon as she started planning her wedding as she had seen me shoot one of her best mates wedding {the lovely Liz & Tom} a couple of years ago, we got on like a house on fire and as she started to tell me her story with Dom I literally could not wait to meet them.  Dom is an incredibly laid back kiwi and him and Sarah met at work in London and as they say the rest is history.  They wanted a totally unique wedding, which had no formalities of a conventional wedding, family flew in from the other side of the globe and the setting was London town.  Sarah & Dom chose the lovely Marylebone Hall to say ‘I do’ surrounded by the ones that they love then everyone jumped in cabs back to the Zetter Townhouse.  As far as wedding receptions go this is probably the most chilled I have seen, guests lounged around listening to the band whilst sipping the most incredible cocktails I had ever laid eyes on, food was served in bowls and everyone relaxed and loved the quirky venue.  Whilst the guests were hitting the cocktail bar we all jumped into a cab to go to Smithfield’s meat market, I know this sounds like a weird choice to go to but these guys love London, they love the market and the architecture too.  I gave them a plan B which was a leafy park but they loved the idea of being in the market it was an incredible space and as they said sums up everything about them as a couple, Sarah & Dom giggled and giggled it was a whole lot of fun.  We headed back to the Zetter for some heartfelt speeches, more cocktails and cutting of the cake {and yes it was a Heston Blumenthal one I kid you not} and then busting some moves.  Sarah & Dom’s wedding screamed so much about who they are, their style, their sense of adventure and wanting to have a good time surrounded by the ones that they love in the most memorable and quirky setting.   If I was not shooting this wedding I would have loved to have been a guest it really was an incredible day, I even think Sarah should go into wedding planning for brides who really want a ’boutique altenative wedding’.  Thanks guys for having me along it was a total privilege to be part of your day I will never forget it xxx
