Hi I am Joanna, I am a photographer with a genuine love for meeting people and sharing precious and amazing moments in peoples lives; everything I see and experience day to day influences how I capture life through my lens.

I am a female contemporary photographer specialising in Beautiful, Creative & Stylish  Wedding Photography.  Joanna Browns Photography is based in West Sussex, I travel over the whole of the UK and destination weddings.  I also love portrait photography specialising in alternative pregnancy, newborns and family shoots.

I have been taking photographs since I got my first SLR at 16. I went on to Study Photography at University and learnt the real craftsmanship of Photography spending most of my time buried in the dark room. My career to date has seen me teach and lecture in Photography and Film, exhibit my photographs nationally, work internationally as a photographic assistant as well as setting up Browns Photography.

Apart from Photography things I like include; the sea, Vintage Dresses, Carousels, Sticks of Rock, Triumph Heralds, Ice Creams on the Beach, Chamomile Lawns, South Downs, Ploughman’s and a Pint and of course Photography.   In terms of photographers my influences are: Annie Leibovitz, Edward Weston, MartinParr, William Eggleston.  I also LOVE the  Cinema, Paintings, Architecture, Music, Typography, Fashion Vogue, Elle Decoration, the list is endless.
